She graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.S. in International Business, a B.A. in Political Science, and a Juris Doctor of Law, studying abroad in London and Germany. She interned as a speechwriter at the United Nations in the Office of the Secretary General Kofi Annan, Arizona Senator Jon Kyl, and did asylum work at the Human Rights Project. Following law school, she worked as an Associate Attorney and at Liebert Cassidy Whitmore in Los Angeles, doing public sector employment law. She defended and advised California police departments, school districts, and community colleges in litigation, administrative hearings, training, and immigration matters such as I-9 compliance and visa sponsorship.
